Orchard set to open

The Orchard is set to open this week after many months of preparation. The restaurant is just north of I-94 along USH 63 in Baldwin.

According to Mary Hawksford, daughter of owners Jean and Richard Pearson, “our family members are grateful and appreciate the amazing support and excitement that Baldwin and the surrounding communities have demonstrated to us.” She said the new restaurant is “a casual dining establishment with an emphasis on complete customer service. We vow to make every visit to our restaurant a memorable and fulfilling one.”
A job fair for the restaurant was held in May and 435 people were interviewed. Fifty people were hired.

Hawksford said the Orchard has already booked 35 wedding receptions including five that will be outside in the gazebo. Many company parties, Christmas gatherings, reunions and other festivities have also been booked.

Hawksford said that no matter what the occasion, a wedding reception, a fan watching a game on TV in the sports bar or a family gathering, “we will do our very best to make you feel part of the family.”

Included among the attractions at the Orchard are live entertainment on Fridays and seating available on the patio next to an outdoor fireplace.
